I have become ridiculously fed up with deviantART's policies and stance on tracing and fan art. A long time ago, I left Elfwood because they started giving the same treatment to fan art and other art as dA is giving fan artists now. The fact is that when I joined dA back in 2001 (under my first account), they had policies in place that protected artists and brought down tracers.

I am not going to support deviantART when they're treating their legitimate artists, fan artists like crap, and allow thieves and tracing. I don't particularly like Y!Gallery's allowing of furry and shota work on their site, but I prefer Y!Gallery's Zero Tolerance of tracing and underage users. They may be assholes, but I prefer assholes to slackers any day of the week. I don't really draw or write about girls very often, so that's fine with me.

Until I find an artist's community that I can post my art for free, without being lumped in with tracers and thieves, a place that allows original content as well as fan art, whose policies are strict against tracers and art thieves, I'm going to be sticking with Y!Gallery.

I hate to say this to all you kind folks that make deviantART a great place, but I'm packing it up and calling it quits here.

Tracing is tolerated and lumped in with fan art.
Fan art is also supposedly unoriginal and in RealitySquared's opinion, ripping off someone else's idea. You know, as opposed to an homage to what another artist has done, yet fully original in pose, structuring and working?

Yeah.
Fuck him.

She makes crochet Metal. Seriously though, I have to hand it to her. Crochet and knitting are falling out of the cycle of awesome art, and she makes these things look incredibly good. She's got Skwisgaar on the way, as well as possibly the rest of the recurring cast members.

I've asked her about pricing, and to make me a teeny Nathan of my own. I can't wait!
